Police fail to arrest attackers

JHANG, Sept 16: Qadirpur police have so far failed to arrest the proclaimed offenders, who fired at two police mobile teams in the past two months.

ASI Rana Amjad was patrolling with a team two months ago when two armed motorcyclists opened fire on the vehicle near a bridge at Kiran village. The armed men, one of whom was recognized by the ASI as PO Qaiser Baloch, continued firing for a while and fled before more force could be called.

Qadirpur police SHO Talat Hundal, along with a team, reached the spot and searched out the entire area, but failed to find the culprits.

A few days later, another mobile squad was attacked by the POs, whom the police had identified. No clue to their whereabouts had yet been known. — Correspondent
