THATTA, Sept 15: Syed Masood Mustafa Shah, district vice president PPP, was nominated on Monday as the party’s candidate to contest the election of Naib Nazim, District Council, Thatta, scheduled to be held on October 10.

The post had been vacated by Mohammad Usman Malkani after his election as an MPA in the October election last year.

The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by Abdul Sattar Bachani, coordinator, PPP, Hyderabad division, held at the house of Imtiaz Qureshi, district secretary, information.

Former MNA Babu Ghulam Hussain, who had earlier been named as the party’s candidate for the post, withdrew his name from the candidature on personal reasons.
