KARACHI: PML-Q launches mass contact drive in Sindh
KARACHI, Sept 15: The Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Sindh chapter, on Monday started mass contact drive from the city, in pursuance of directives by party chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, to unite and strengthen the party.
The convener, Organizing Committee, Sindh, Nisar Memon, who was leading a rally of party workers going to Hyderabad, spoke to the workers gathered at welcome camp set up on the route of the rally.
The workers, carrying banners and PML flags, raised slogans in support of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, PM Jamali and President Musharraf.
Nisar Memon called upon the party workers to forge unity among their ranks and strengthen the party.
He said a strong PML was inevitable for prosperous and strong Pakistan.
The PML, under the leadership of Chaudhry Shujaat would continue working for the uplift of the people and for economic progress of the country.
Mr Memon assured the people hailing from villages and suburban areas of the city that the PML-Q government would make all possible efforts to resolve their problems, including development work in their areas and creating maximum employment for them.
Nisar Memon was accompanied by party’s senior leaders, include Azad Bin Haider, Khanzada Imran H Khan and Sami Siddiqui.
Before departure for Hyderabad, Mr Memon, talking to APP said that this tour would contribute a lot towards unity of the party.
Mr Memon said that he intended to unite the masses against poverty and injustice.
Giving details of his tour, he said he would speak at party’s corner meetings at Jamshoro (Dadu) and Hyderabad. He said he would meet the office-bearers of dissolved district body and the sister organizations to discuss the issues and challenges faced by them and to know what kind of help they expected from us to achieve the ultimate goal of uniting and strengthening the party. —APP
