KARACHI: Course on diabetes

KARACHI, Sept 15: The 14th advanced course on Diabetes for family physicians will be held from Sept 22 to 27 at the PMA House, Garden Road, said a press release issued on Monday.

The course, an annual feature, is organized by the Diabetic Association of Pakistan and the World Health Organization Collaboration Centre, with an aim to train family physicians and post-graduate students in management of diabetes in general practice.

The course includes various aspects of the disease, such as eye, kidney and nerve complications, insulin therapy, tablets, diet and pregnancy in diabetes.

Senior doctors, conducting the course, would discuss practical management of diabetes and prevention of its complications, the release said.
