MINGORA, Sept 7: Arrangements for holding by-elections for the slots of district Nazim and Naib Nazim of Swat, to be held on Monday, have been completed.
The Karwan Swat’s candidates, former provincial minister Miangul Asfandyar Amirzeb and Salimur Rehman, will contest for the Nazim and Naib Nazim posts, respectively, and the Swat Qaumi Ittehad’s candidates for the two posts are Arshad Khan and Malik Barkat Ali.
The polling stations for the by-polls would be set up in Matta and Gulkada, Mingora. Earlier, the SQI had objected to the polling station in Matta asking to shift it to Mingora.
