HYDERABAD, Sept 7: Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Naeem Ishtiaq distributed cheques of Rs600,000 among rain-affected people at the circuit house here on Saturday.

Families of four bread earners who had died in rain-related incidents were given Rs100,000 each and those who had suffered losses were given Rs30,000 each.

District Nazim Dr Makhdoom Rafiquzzaman, MPA Arshad Shah and others were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Nazim said the rain victims would also be given additional Rs20,000 each after the issuance of relevant notification.
