HYDERABAD, Sept 7: A man was arrested here on Saturday on the charge of killing his wife.

A case against Nazeer alias Gama was registered with the A- section police by Mohammad Ali Abbasi, the brother of killed woman Sumaira.

Mr Abbasi complained that his family was informed about his sister’s death on account of cardiac failure on Aug 31.

However, he stated, his family later learnt that she was killed by her husband.

KILLED: An elderly man was killed after being run over by a truck (FDK-5575) at the Sabzi Mandi Chowk near Gulshan-i-Hali here on Sunday.

The dead man was identified as Ahmed Khan Gaddi, close relative of union council Nazim Umer Gaddi.

No case was lodged as the Nazim was holding negotiations with the transporters.

CASE: The Phuleli police have lodged a case against a councillor of the UC-12 city, Abdul Jabbar, and three others for occupying a house in Rishi Ghat.

Abid, Mohammad Haneef and Inayatuddin were cited as co- accused in the FIR.
