Two US cops killed in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, Sept 2: Two US military police officers were killed and one wounded in a bomb attack in the Iraqi capital, the army said on Tuesday.

“The two officers were killed and one wounded when their vehicle struck an improvized explosive device on a main supply route south of Baghdad,” said a spokeswoman.

The injured officer was evacuated for treatment after the incident which happened on Monday afternoon, she said, without giving further details.
