UAF awards three PhDs

FAISALABAD, Aug 25: The University of Agriculture has awarded PhD to three men in various disciplines.

Haq Nawaz Anwar of the Department of Rural Sociology has passed the final examination for his PhD degree. The title of his thesis was ‘The impact assessment of katchi abadi improvement programme in the Punjab’.

Mohammed Azam Khan of the Department of Agronomy has passed the examination under the title of ‘Production efficiency of chickpea as affected by inoculation, phosphorus levels and intercropping’.

Talat Mahmood of the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics also passed the examination of PhD. The title of his thesis was evaluation of S1 and S2 progenies of sunflower for seed yield, its components and resistance to charcoal rot. — Staff Correspondent
