OKARA, Aug 24: The Renala Khurd tehsil Nazim was removed from his office after the approval of no-trust move presented against him some time ago.

According to reports, efforts of reconciliation by the chief minister’s secretariat between the district Nazim, who initiated the move, and the tehsil Nazim failed.

A meeting of the tehsil council was arranged at the TMA Hall, chaired by Tehsil Naib Nazim Syed Amir Hassan Kirmani.

As many as 16 members passed motion against the Nazim by a show of hands. The nine members, out of the 25, of Tehsil Nazim Chaudhry Waheeduddin’s group boycotted the meeting, saying it was an illegal proceeding because the tehsil Naib Nazim had allowed three members, Maqbool Ahmad, Aslam Javed and Rana Abdul Shakoor, to sit in the house despite their removal through a no-trust move approved three days ago.
