13 Pakistanis held in US
NEW YORK, Aug 24: At least 13 Pakistanis, including a son of a prayer leader, were arrested last week for being involved in a sham marriage ring.
Marriages were part of a scam to help Pakistanis obtain “green cards” or permanent legal residency, the prosecutors said.
The accused were indicted on charges of marriage fraud and conspiracy to arrange phony marriages involving Pakistani citizens.—Correspondent
