“Urine is coming in drops and he is feeling sever pain. He needed catheterization to pass urine,” a doctor who examined the patient said in his report.

Mohammad Ashraf, a taxi driver, was taken into custody by the Cell on suspicion of involvement in car-lifting. The police also obtained a five-day physical remand of the accused from a court.

According to the police report, the investigation officials allegedly tortured Mohammad Ashraf and later admitted him to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences last Tuesday.

The SSP, Islamabad police, Shahid Nadeem Baloch, suspended SI Mohammad Shafiq, Head Constable Mohammad Sharif, constables Arshad and Sharif, and ordered an inquiry into the incident.

According to a doctor, the victim has received injuries to the sensitive organs.
