By Our Staff Correspondent

FAISALABAD, Aug 17: A ‘trader’ and his accomplices thrashed the Akhbar Farosh Union of Faisalabad general secretary and his sons near Clock Tower intersection on Sunday.

According to details, Haji Muhammad Ishaq and his sons were at their stall when Nisar Butt and his armed accomplices came there and started beating them without any reason.

The accused also tore a number of newspaper copies and destroyed the entire stall of Mr Ishaq.

The police were informed about the incident by phone but no official turned up. A written complaint against the accused was also lodged with the area police but no accused has been arrested so far.

Meanwhile, the Akhbar Farosh Union of Faisalabad threatened to stop the distribution of newspapers in the district if the accused were not arrested immediately.
