Two picnickers drown

THATTA, Aug 15: Two picnickers drowned in two different incidents in the district on the eve of Independence Day.

Police constable Abdul Latif, resident of Malir, Karachi, lost the control of his motorcycle on the National Highway, plunged into Jam Barrage and drowned. He was heading for Keenjhar Lake for picnic.

In the other incident, Adeel-ur-Rehman of Naushahro Feroze, got trapped in underwater weeds and drowned in Keenjhar Lake.—BoC
