Indus, Ravi in low flood

LAHORE, Aug 13: The Indus is in low flood at Guddu, Sukkur and Kotri, and the Ravi at Balloki, according to a report of the Flood Forecasting Division.

Scattered rain of light to moderate intensity fell over the tribal areas of the Kurram Agency and Waziristan, along with Kohatand Rawalpindi divisions, northern Balochistan, Sargodha, Dera Ismail Khan and Kalat divisions, reports said on Wednesday.

Isolated rain fell over the upper catchments of the Chenab and Jhelum rivers, and Peshawar, Lahore, Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan divisions.

Weather pundits have forecast isolated light rain over the upper catchments of the Jhelum, the Chenab and the Ravi, along with areas of the Punjab, the NWFP, northern Balochistan and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions.—APP
