Girl ‘raped’ for 2 months
VEHARI, Aug 13: The daughter of a labourer has been raped by two landlords for two months.
The girl ‘Y’, a resident of Shitabgarh, Mailsi, told Dawn here on Wednesday that Pupoo Khichi and Sarfraz Khichi with the help of Kalsoom Bibi, Sonia Bibi and Shahnaz Bibi, kidnapped her and took her to Chahpuddowala village and gang raped her. Later, they took her to Bahawalpur where Pupoo, Sarfraz and their friends Mukhtar and Mazhar raped her.
MPA Javed Iqbal Khichi secured her release through punchayat, she added.
When contacted, Mitro police station SHO Israr Ahmad said no such incident occurred and the girl told a fake story. — Correspondent
