Mosque built on vacated land

GUJRANWALA, Aug 10: A mosque will be constructed on the more than one acre plot in Garjakh, got vacated by the city tehsil council from land grabbers.

This was stated by City Nazim Babu Javed Ahmad on Sunday while speaking at a meeting of religious leaders and citizens here.

He said that some 55 years ago, Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail Garjakhi donated the plot for the construction of a mosque and seminary. But land grabbers constructed markets and a stable on it. The city tehsil council filed a lawsuit against the land grabbers. A court ordered the land grabbers to vacate the plot.
