KHAIRPUR, Aug 9: The growers of the Meerik minor continued their protest against a shortage of water on Saturday by holding a demonstration outside the Hingorja press club.

Speaking on the occasion, they said their crops were being damaged due to the water shortage. They accused the irrigation officials of selling water to influential persons after taking bribes from them.
