KARACHI: Curb on drug trade assured


KARACHI, Aug 9: Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation Rauf Siddiqui on Saturday ordered the concerned officers of his department to ensure the arrest of drug paddlers and elimination of narcotics sale in Lyari Town within the next 10 days.

Speaking at a ceremony, held in connection with the distribution of relief goods among affected people of Lyari, the minister said all possible steps would be taken to get Lyari rid of narcotics. He also pledged resolution of water shortage problem in the town.

The minister held out the assurance that if the concerned officers did not take any action in this regard, they would face strict action.—PPI
