KARACHI, Aug 2: Sindh Democratic Alliance (SDA) on Saturday demanded of the federal government that in the wake of devastation caused by recent rains and floods, it should defer the recovery of agricultural loans and other outstanding dues from Sindh farmers, besides taking steps for their rehabilitation.
The demand was made at a meeting of central officer-bearers of the party, held on Saturday, presided over by its president, Imtiaz Ahmad Sheikh.
The meeting thanked the Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Illahi for their financial help for the flood-ravaged people of Sindh, besides appreciating the relief efforts of Pakistan Army, police and Abdul Sattar Edhi.
