NEW YORK, July 28: Pakistan Muslim League-N president Shahbaz Sharif gave a breakfast/brunch for his well-wishers and supporters on Sunday, but did not make any announcement about his return to Pakistan.

Talking to reporters who asked him about his future plans, he said he would return “soon”, but would not be able to make any decision now as he had another medical examination scheduled for later in August.

Mr Sharif said he was distressed over the forced deportation of his family members from Pakistan last month and felt that government’s decision to deport his family was highhanded and cruel.

“My family members were not a party to any agreement to stay out of the country, so why were they deported?” he asked.

He plans to stay in New York attending various functions organized by his party members here.
