LAHORE, July 19: The railways says it has taken steps to overcome delayed departure of trains for Karachi from Lahore.

A PR press release said on Saturday the problem had occurred due to delayed arrival of trains from Karachi and other parts of Sindh because of torrential rains there.

To tackle the situation, the PR arranged coaches from its reserves to ensure timely departure from Lahore. “All Karachi-bound trains left on time on Friday,” the release said. Regretting the inconvenience faced by passengers due to delayed arrival of trains from Karachi, the PR hoped the train operation on this section would be normal after weather conditions improved..—APP
