Two killed; body found

RAWALPINDI, July 10: Two persons died in separate incidents while a charred body was found in Rawalpindi on Thursday, police said.

In the first incident, Tariq Aziz, a van driver, was shot dead while a woman, whom he had come to pick from her house in Westridge, was injured when some unidentified persons opened fire on the van.

The cause of the incident is being investigated, the police said.

In another incident, a teenage boy drowned in a pond in Dhamyal on Thursday. Yasir drowned when he went into a pond for swimming. Efforts by the divers were underway to fish out the body till the filing of this report.

Meanwhile, the Railway police found a charred body of a man, believed to have committed suicide by setting himself on fire, from a bogey of a goods train parked at Chaklala Railway Station on Thursday.
