KARACHI, July 4: An accountability court put off on Friday the hearing of a corruption reference against Syed Ghous Ali Shah, after granting an application of the defence.
Judge Qaiser Iqbal of the ATC-2 fixed July 22 for the next hearing and issued notice to the GM (Legal) of CAA to appear as a witness.
Syed Ghaus Ali Shah was charged for appointing 122 people in the CAA in violation of rules during 1992 and 1993.
The prosecution had earlier cited the GM, as one of the prosecution witnesses. However, later it gave up the witness.
The defence counsel moved an application for calling the CAA official in the court as witness.
