QUETTA, July 3: All Quetta-Karachi Coaches Association has demanded early completion of the construction of Wadh-Bela section on the RCD Highway, else it would observe a strike.

AQKCA president Haji Abdul Qadir Raisani, speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, criticized the National Highway Authority for awarding the contract to local people for the construction of Wadh-Bela section who, he claimed, were inexperienced and had no proper machinery.

He said that passenger buses, coaches and other vehicles were facing problems while travelling between Wadh and Bela.

He said that earlier the NHA had promised to complete the section by the end of March, but the construction was to the day not completed.

About the allotment of shops to the transporters in the new bus stand at Hazargangi, he said that Quetta Development Authority (QDA) had allotted only 60 shops to the transport companies, which were not sufficient for them.

He demanded that more shops should be allotted to the them.

The transporters’ leader said that a delegation of the association would hold meetings with the governor and the Quetta Nazim to discuss their problems.
