Explosion at Sonmiani kills two

KARACHI, June 30: At least two labourers were killed and another two injured in an explosion when they were collecting scrap from designated Sonmiani Range, 60km off Karachi in Balochistan province, on Monday morning.

“Four labourers were collecting scrap when the blast occurred. Two labourers died on the spot while other two were seriously injured,” an ISPR press release issued here in the evening said.

The dead were identified as Mohammed Akram and Mohammed Farooq, whereas Saleem and Aslam were injured and shifted to a Karachi Hospital.—APP
