SHIKARPUR, June 8: Two people, including a minor girl, were killed and eight others, including four policemen, injured in an encounter between police and outlaws in village Bado in the jurisdiction of Dakhan police station.

The village was raided after a tip-off that some criminals were hiding their. The district police officer, Shikarpur Abdul Khaliq Shaikh was present on the occasion.

The outlaws reportedly opened fire upon police party which retaliated it.

As a result four police constables and four criminals were seriously injured and one outlaw, Rafique Lolai, and a minor girl, Rani, were killed.

The injured outlaws were identified as Ali Akbar Lolai, Bagh Ali Lolai, Abdul Qadeer Lolai, and Amb Lolai while the policemen as Riaz Bhutto, Naseer Kumbhar, Ahsan Mahar and Jinsar Sehto.

Scholarships: The district Nazim, Shikarpur, has released the cheques of scholarships to the heads of the educational institutes concerned for onward disbursement to the students.
