KARACHI: Governor wants more cleanliness

KARACHI, June 7: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan has called for more cleanliness in the metropolis.

He was talking to people during his visit to various towns in the city on Saturday.

Accompanied by Senator Babar Ghouri, DCO Karachi Mir Hussain Ali and other officials, the governor visited M.A. Jinnah Road, Garden Road, Sharea Faisal, Sir Shah Suleiman Road, Liaquatabad, Nazimabad, Lasbella, Guru Mandir, Numaish, Hassan Square, and also inspected the traffic arrangements. He also walked in the lanes and met with people in those areas.

He also inspected development schemes in different localities of the city. He said the situation had improved as a result of the sanitation drive. However, he said, further efforts were needed. He warned that officials showing slackness would face action.

Dr Ishrat said he had also visited the interior of Sindh and issued directives that the cleanliness situation should be improved.—APP
