Someone does not want me back: Jadeja

NEW DELHI, June 3: Ajay Jadeja has said there was someone “who is not very keen on me getting back to cricket”.

“I fail to understand why is that BCCI and I are fighting and the world is enjoying. It looks like there is somebody out there who’s not very keen on me getting back to cricket,” the 32-year-old cricketer told NDTV.

Expressing his desire to get back to serious cricket at the earliest, Jadeja said: “I doubt I can have an ego clash against BCCI. This battle I hope is not between BCCI and Jadeja.

It cannot be between cricket and me because I like to play cricket and play in whatever way I can. But sure there is a better way of dealing with this.”

Jadeja was allowed to play in domestic cricket by the Delhi High Court even as board’s appeal against an order of a court-appointed arbitrator quashing the ban on the cricketer is pending.

The cricket board’s effort to get the Delhi High Court order stayed also proved futile with the Supreme Court disposing off its petition while directing it to approach the division Bench of the High Court to seek modification or changes in its May 28 order.—PPI
