KARACHI, May 29: Two ships carrying containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves remained slow owing to delayed arrivals and as a result, only three ships were berthed. They are: Hyundai Sprinter, Al-Ihsaa to unload and load containers and Northern Sea Anvil to offload high speed diesel.

Three ships, APL Venezuela, Banglar Mamata, and Golden Gion departed on Thursday, while North Sea Anvil and Al-Ihsaa are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total tonnage of 50,304 tons comprising 12,003 tons of export cargo and 38,301 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Kota Teraju and Torges, with containers.
