By A Reporter

RAWALPINDI, May 21: A large number of members of the All- Pakistan Clerks Association held a protest demonstration here on Wednesday against non-acceptance of their 13-point charter of demands by the government and vowed that they will stage a sit-in front of parliament house if their grievances were not addressed to on an urgent basis. The demonstration began at 10am in front of the Association’s central office, on Adam Jee Road, and ended within one-and-a- half hours.

The clerks’ forum had arranged the protest demo to press the government for acceptance of its demands which included an increase in salaries in accordance with the inflation rate and provision of other benefits, including upgradation in pay-scales, house rents, medical and travel allowances, etc.
