KARACHI: Farooq slams Haqiqi men

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, May 21: Dr Farooq Sattar, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s candidate in the byelection for NA-255, on Wednesday claimed that if the contest was kept fair, he would win the election.

Speaking at corner meetings in Korangi J Area, 35/B, and at the foundation laying of a primary school in 51/B, Dr Sattar, who was accompanied by provincial minister for local government Mohammad Hussain, alleged that the Haqiqi activists were trying to sabotage the election.

He said this was evident from the attacks on police vehicles and Muttahida activists. He claimed that despite the MQM-Haqiqi’s coercive methods, people of the area supported theMuttahida.
