ISLAMABAD, May 20: As many as 24 more students of Islamic International University were issued show cause notices in connection with the clash erupted last week between Anjuman Talaba Islam (ATI) and Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT).

Sources told Dawn that the seven-member committee set up to investigate the clash came to know that more students were involved in the clash.

With the issuing of notices to 24 more students, total number of students who will be questioned has reached to 55 —- 30 from ATI and 25 from IJT.

It is learnt that local MNA, Mian Mohammad Aslam, visited the campus on Tuesday to resolve the problem.

The sources said activists of both the organizations had gone underground and now the campus had returned to normalcy.

The next meeting of the committee will be held on May 24.—Our Reporter
