Faisal to visit UK on 24th

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, May 20: Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat will visit London on May 24 to look into problems of overseas Pakistanis about Pakistan Origin Cards (POCs) and National Identity Cards (NICs).

Talking to Dawn on Monday, the minister said overseas Pakistanis both having dual and single nationality were facing problems due to the unsatisfactory performance of the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra).

He said POCs were issued to those Pakistanis who had dual nationality, and after having POCs, they did not require visa when they return to the country.

He said the Pakistan embassy in London had arranged a meeting in which Pakistanis residing in the UK would brief him about the problems they were confronting due to the poor performance of Nadra.

“I have also called Nadra chairman there to receive on the spot complaints from Pakistanis,” the minister said.
