ISLAMABAD, May 17: PIA’s inaugural flight for Chicago departed here early Saturday morning.

The PK-795 was seen off by Senior PIA officials at Islamabad International airport. The PIA officials said it was the fastest link between Pakistan and the US and would facilitate the large Pakistani community based at Chicago and nearby areas.

The general manager of PIA Islamabad said the objective to re- launch the Chicago route was to provide an efficient service to the community. The flight from Islamabad touched Karachi and Birmingham in UK before arriving at Chicago. The crew distributed flowers and souvenirs among the passengers.—APP
