Shahab-IV triumph

KARACHI, May 12: Showing fine hands, new combination of Shahab-IV clinched the week-end Duplicate Swiss Bridge with 93 Victory Points (VPs) at Aslam Memorial Bridge Hall on Sunday.

Represented by Shahab Saeed-Naseer Khan, Cdr (Retd) Nuri Pasha and Farhan Shahab-IV surprised many seasoned campaigner with their impeccable performance to finish on the top.

EFU finished second with 87 VPs while Lipton finished third with 85 VPs.

In the pair contest Tariq Rasheed-Pervaiz Mirza emerged on the top with 59.82 percent. Azwer-Zubaiur finished second with 58.60% and A.K.Bhurgri-Mazhar Ali Khan was third with 57.44%.

In the second session Yasmin Vohra and Ghaffar Cochinwala win the title with 60.00% followed by Dr Qazi-Mrs Shehla Qavi 59.56% and Naeem-Maqbool 56%.—APP
