LAHORE, May 3: Punjab entered the final of the 12th national baseball championship beating Balochistan by 10 runs as two more matches were decided at the Iqbal Park Sports Complex on Saturday.

Punjab scored 22 runs in nine innings. Ahsan Beg scored four runs while Mohammad Jibran Ansari, Yasir Niazi and Muhammad Usman contributed three runs each.

Asif Mukhtar, Mukkaram Usmani, Rizwan Shafiq and Abdul Wahab scored two runs apiece. Abid added a run.

Balochistan scored 12 runs only with Muhammad Javed, Maqbool Ahmad, Muhammad Khalid, Sharif Din, Ahmad Nawaz and Abdul Hameed scored two runs each.

Later, Army toppled Punjab by 12 runs. Army scored 16 runs. Riaz Khan and Sarfraz Ahmad scored three runs with a home hit each.

Zafar Iqbal, Kamran Mehboob and Abdul Riaz scored two

runs each. Ashiq Hussain and Imtiaz Hussain added one run each.

Punjab scored four runs. Yasir Niazi, Sumair Zawar, Muhammad Jibran and Muhammad Usman scored a run each.
