Two held for issuing threats

MINGORA, April 29: The police have arrested two persons who were allegedly threatening to kidnap the children of well-off families.

The SSP Swat Qudratullah Marwat told reporters here on Sunday that for the last some days a group of anti-social elements was threatening people to pay them huge amounts otherwise their children would be taken away while on their way to school.

They used to phone from the PCOs. The police managed to record the talking of the accused with the people.

On last Saturday, the accused asked Sultanat Khan, to bring three lakh rupees to the Akhun Baba graveyard and meet them.

A police party accompanied Sultanat Khan and besieged the accused.

The accused opened fire on the police, but one them, Sanaullah, got injured. The police arrested both Akhtar Husain and Sanaullah.
