MANSEHRA, April 28: Mansehra Tehsil Nazim Nawabzada Mohammad Farooq Khan has said the tehsil council without bowing to the pressure tactics or blackmailing by miscreants will continue to provide civic amenities to the people.

Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, he said those busy in levelling allegations against the tehsil council would be brought to book.

He said that as the corrupt elements had been unveiled, therefore they were spreading rumours against the council to save their face.

They, Mr Farooq said, had misused the funds allocated under the Khushal Pakistan Programme and, instead of spending money on genuine uplift plans for Mansehra town, they paved streets close to their houses and got electric poles installed there.

The Nazim warned that the miscreants in the tehsil council would not be allowed to continue with their practices.
