NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, April 26: Hundreds of people, including Korai tribesmen, activists of political parties and non-governmental organisations, blocked the National Highway to protest against the SHO of the Moro police station.

They accused him (the SHO) of terrorising the public and abetting criminals in his area.

The blockage, which lasted for over two hours, was participated by workers of the PPP, PML-N, PPP (SB), NPP, STPP and Pakistan Labour Party and activists of the Solangi Welfare Association and Young Citizen’s Alliance.

Protesters are reported to have damaged the vehicle of the TPO, Moro.

They also called for the transfer of the SHO, Moro police station, along with the entire staff.

Earlier, protsters took out a rally from Bandhi Road and reached the National Highway, where they staged a sit-in.

Speakers, on the occasion, said that the police officer allowed criminals to operate with impunity.

They urged the authorities to transfer the SHO and the police station’s staff within the next 24 hours otherwise they would observe a general strike and block the National Highway on Sunday.
