CHITRAL, April 26: Residents of the Koghuzi locality in Chitral have warned they will resist construction of a housing colony in the area if their lands were acquired on the government rate instead of the market rate.
Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, they said that fertile agriculture lands were being acquired to build a colony for Wapda employees.
They said the market rate of the land was Rs500,000 per kanal, while the owners were being paid half of price.
They demanded that the site be shifted to Mori Lusht or the price be increased.
