RAWALPINDI, April 24: Three unidentified men looted a doctor and patients at a clinic in sector G-9/4 and escaped, police said on Thursday.

Dr Mohammad Ahmed Awan lodged a complaint with the Margalla police, saying that three armed young men entered his clinic while he was examining patients. The bandits held him and the patients at gunpoint and snatched cash (amount unspecified), wrist watches and other valuables from the people and escaped after locking the doors from the outside.

LIQUOR SEIZED: The Industrial Area police seized 340 bottles of liquor and arrested a man who, police said, had been involved in illegal business for a long time.

Police said that on a tip-off they raided Bogra village, near Afghan Colony in I-9, and recovered 340 bottles of liquor and arrested Basharat Khan.

The accused had been selling liquor and supplying it to the Afghan Colony and some notables of the area, police said.
