Delhi using poisonous gases, say Mujahideen

By Our Staff Correspondent

MUZAFFARABAD, April 23: The Muttahida Jihad Council (MJC), an alliance of Kashmiri Mujahideen groups, accused India on Wednesday of using chemical weapons against the fighters and called upon the United Nations to take immediate notice of the alarming situation.

“India is using chemical weapons against the Mujahideen in sheer violation of all those international laws and principles whose implementation has been declared obligatory by the United Nations,” said the 15-party alliance at a meeting, chaired by its chief, Syed Salahuddin.

Expressing serious concern and shock over the killing of a sizable number of Mujahideen in Poonch on Tuesday, the MJC said it had received reports from the occupied territory that Indian troops had used lethal poisonous gases to kill the Mujahideen.

“India will have to face serious repercussions for using such inhuman tactics in a bid to crush the freedom struggle,” the alliance said.

“We call upon the United Nations and international community to take immediate notice of the alarming situation in occupied Kashmir and initiate steps to rein in India.”

The meeting resolved that the Mujahideen would fight till “last man and last bullet” to evict the occupation forces from their motherland.

The MJC also attacked occupied Kashmir chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, alleging that he had embarked upon a bloody game to please his masters in New Delhi. “But let it be known to Mr Sayeed that at the end of the day he will get nothing out of the bloodbath but remorse.”

The MJC said the Mujahideen would offer their lives, but won’t allow anyone to sell out the “blood & honour of Kashmiris ...”
