QUETTA, April 23: The Balochistan National Movement on Wednesday decided to sit on the opposition benches ignoring the offer of the government to join the coalition government in Balochistan.

Party sources here said that party executive committee which remained in session for three days took important decisions that would be announced on Thursday.

The sources said that the participants in the meeting stressed that the BNM should play an effective role to strengthen opposition in the provincial assembly.

The meeting rejected the PML-Q invitation to join the government in the province led by Chief Minister Jam Muhammad Yousuf, the sources remarked.

Meanwhile, the BNM observed a black day on Wednesday throughout the province to protest against the kidnapping of party activist Amin Danish in Dhadar. The party activists wore black armbands.

In a statement, the BNM alleged that an influential personality was behind the kidnapping of the party member and demanded of the government to immediately arrest the culprits.
