SRINAGAR, April 18: Police detained a senior anti-India leader here on Friday, just hours before start of a two-day visit to occupied Kashmir by Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.
Javed Mir, vice chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, was picked up near Srinagar’s commercial hub, Lal Chowk, a spokesman for the All Parties Hurriyat Conference said.—AFP
