Man gets death sentence on three counts

RAWALPINDI, April 18: The additional district and sessions judge, Rao Sikandar Ali Tahir, on Friday awarded death sentence on three counts to a man, who had killed his brother, sister-in-law and nephew over a minor dispute.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs300,000 on the convict, Ghulam Farid. In case, he fails to pay the fine, he will have to undergo another six-month of RI.

The court, however, acquitted two co-accused, Rehmat Jana and Ghulam Ahmed, in the same case.

Meanwhile, the district and sessions judge, Dost Mohammad Khemta, asked a man to give his three children in the custody of his wife.
