CNG body to observe strike on 21st

By Our Reporter

RAWALPINDI, April 18: All Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Association will observe a 15-hour strike on April 21 against the unbridled selling of substandard gas kits.

In a press statement issued on Friday by the association’s president, Tariq Kundaan, and general-secretary Akhtar Shaikh, the strike will be observed in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum. During the strike, all CNG filling stations will remain closed.

The association has expressed concern over the increase in the sale of fake 4kg LPG kits that are being installed in motorcycle-rickshaws.

The association also announced Rs100,000 compensation for the family of a man who was killed in a gas cylinder explosion near Sadiqabad a few days ago.
