Rain brings mercury down in twin cities


ISLAMABAD, April 18: Intermittent rain continuing throughout Friday evening kept temperatures down in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

The temperature which hovered around 30 degrees during the week, remained at about 20 degrees.

One millimetre of rain was recorded in the twin cities till filing of this report. The Met office has predicted that the rain would continue for the next 12 hours.

The rain will not have any effect on the harvesting season which has started a few days back.

POLLEN COUNT: Pollen count of paper mulberry continues to remain very high at 3,765 per cubic meter of air out of a total of 3,801.

According to the pollen count report released by Met office, among other pollen detected in the air grass with 19 was declared moderate followed by Alternaria (11) Acacia (2) Eucalyptus (2), Pines (1) and Cyprus (1) all in low category.—APP
