Two kidnapped, boy shot dead

SUKKUR, April 17: Two men were kidnapped and a 10-year-old boy was shot dead by kidnappers in two separate incidents in different parts of Jacobabad district during the last 24 hours ending on Thursday evening.

The son of a councillor and his friend were kidnapped by a group of armed kidnappers from Thul on Wednesday night.

Mohammad Nawaz, son of councillor Mohammad Yaqoob, and Jahangir, son of Aman Bangulani, were returning after attending a dinner party.

When they reached near the Mir Alam Bangulani village, the unidentified kidnappers intercepted and whisked them away in a vehicle.

The police have not registered the FIR till the filing of this report.

In another incident, a 10-year-old boy, Ghulam Qadir Sabzoi, son of Umer Sabzoi, was shot dead by the kidnappers as he resisted a kidnapping attempt in the Makan Waro village, near Kandhkot, on Thursday.

The incident has created fear and panic in the area.

Six armed men barged into the house of Umer and tried to kidnap his son. When the boy offered resistance, the kidnappers shot him dead.

Qamaruddin, the uncle of the boy, lodged a murder case against Goru, Mohammad Hussain, Misri, Baboo and others with the “B” section police.

KILLED: A wanted outlaw, Abdul Malik alias Malko, was shot dead in an encounter with police near Ubauro on Thursday, Ghotki DPO Tashkeel Hyder told journalists.

According to the DPO, Malik, with another man, was going to the Mazari village on a motorcycle. When a police party tried to stop them, Malik opened fire at the police which was returned by them.

As a result, the DPO said, Malik was killed but his accomplice fled. A Kalashnikov, more than 50 rounds of ammunition and the stolen motorcycle were recovered from the possession of Malik.
