Officials asked to clear legislators’ orders

By Our Correspondent

CHITRAL, April 16: District Nazim Shahzada Mohyuddin has asked the district coordination officer and executive district officers not to implement instructions of the MNA and MPAs of the district without consulting his office.

In a circular addressed to the DCO, executive district officers and district officer of revenue and estate, the Nazim pointed out that after the emergence of the national and provincial assemblies, the office of Nazim was being superseded in the matters of official business in the devolved departments.

Officials said on Wednesday that the Nazim had warned the officers that in case his order was not followed, the guilty officer would be transferred out of the district.

Meanwhile, Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali, MNA, has directed the education department to hold in abeyance the orders of the transfer of teachers of government schools in the district.

In a letter to the department, he said the affected teachers should be allowed to continue at their present stations till further orders as a scrutiny would be held into the transfer orders.
